New Contemporary Worship Series
All of us know that you need a good toolbox in your home and car to make needed repairs that come up. The right tools make the job go so much easier. What is in your faith toolbox? What skills/tools are necessary for a productive, fruitful, abundant life? How can you be a more effective leader at home, work, school and community? Join us for this contemporary series as we examine the tools you need to succeed.
Again this year the Luther League will be having their annual pre-order flower sale. You can pick up your order form today in the narthex, in the office, or even online. Last year the flowers were outstanding and you don’t want to miss out on this great opportunity. The flowers will be ready for pickup the weekend of May 4-5. Please help support our young people.
Vacation Bible School - Volunteers Needed
Spring has sprung and summer will be here before we know it…. Time to plan for another fabulous CLC Vacation Bible School week! VBS will be Aug. 5-9 this year. Please consider helping in the many opportunities available including director or co-director, teacher, teaching assistant, etc. We are looking to form a committee of volunteers to share the responsibilities. Please contact Joan Lundquist to volunteer or get more information.
Coupons for Troops
A volunteer is needed to help cut and sort the coupons. Deserie Burns and her class have completed the work on coupons from January, February and March and they will be able to help again in late spring. Can someone help for the next 6 - 8 weeks? Please call Angela Casano at 680-6813.
Service Auction Photos
We had a hugely successful service auction. Many thanks to Gail Parisi, John Tyson and all the folks who made it possible by helping with setup and takedown, getting items for baskets, donating services and just showing up at the auction. We couldn’t have done it without you. Check out some photos here.
Midwest Flood Victims Assistance
During April and May, Thrivent will add $1. to every $2. raised for the flood victims due to recent heavy rains and excessive snow melt. Lives have been lost and families have been displaced. Thrivent will pay all fees so that 100% of the assistance will go to help the victims. I have been in touch with Pastor Terry Krueger and he recommended that we send our assistance to The Orphan Grain Train through Thrivent. Please take a paper heart and write your name on it and tape it to the designated wall for the Midwest Flood Victims. A donation of $2. per heart would be so appreciated. Any questions - Call Angela Casano at 680-6813.

Sunday School Christmas Pageant Photos
Our Sunday School did a great job on their Christmas Pageant. Thanks to Lisa Cellura and all the Sunday School teachers and kids. You can see some photos of the pageant here.
Service on the Sound Photos
We had our annual Service on the Sound at Sunken Meadow Beach. The weather was beautiful and it was our best-attended service yet. Some folks on the boardwalk joined our service as well. The picnic after the service was our biggest and best ever. There’s not enough room in this post to describe all the food but you can check some of it out in the last photo (there were a few other tables of food not pictured in the photo). Thanks to Deanne Emory, Barbara Haerter, Liisa May and their volunteers for coordinating this event and a big thanks to Howard Johnson for supplying a huge amount of food – everyone went home with leftovers and we gave the rest to other picnickers. Check out the photos here.
