Sandwich Brigade
The Sandwich Brigade will meet Tuesday April 28th at 4:00pm. The sandwiches are for Mercy Inn. All are welcomed to help and to donate bread, luncheon meat and cheese.
Spring Clothing Drive
The Spring Clothing Drive will run May 1st - 10th. Please separate women’s, men’s and children’s clothes into 13 gallon tall kitchen bags. Please donate gently used clean spring and summer clothes. No shoes, pocketbooks or coats. Place on stage behind curtains.
First Communion Classes
First Communion class will be offered this spring; Tuesday evenings, May 5, 12, 19, 26 at 6:30pm with a Celebration of First Holy Communion on Sunday, May 31. Families who feel their child is ready for instruction, or who may have questions about their child’s readiness, are encouraged to contact the pastoral staff or church office if they would like to participate.

Blood Drive
CLC will be hosting its Spring Blood drive on Sunday, May 17th from 8:30 to 1:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. Each person's donation can save up to 3 lives! If you would like to donate you can scan the QR code by clicking the flyer on the left or sign up on one of the sign up sheets posted in the hallway or fellowship hall bulletin boards. ( Ages 16 to 75 eligible to donate.) You may contact me at with any questions or to schedule also. Scheduling preferred but walk ins still welcome!
The Service Auction is Coming!
Our annual Service Auction will be held on Saturday, June 6th at 2:30pm. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Many, many things up for auction this year including sports tickets, vacations, theme park tickets, artwork, food, gift cards, show tickets, scratch-off boards and lots more. Plus door prizes and raffle baskets. Admission is free as are refreshments, snacks and desserts. Download a flyer here.
Pinecrest Summer Registration
The 2026 summer session will be held August 2–8. Eligible campers must be 15–26 years old by December 31 of the current year. Financial assistance, including partial and full scholarships, is available to ensure accessibility. Learn more and register at here.
Mission Trip to Guatemala
Our congregation, in partnership with United Lutheran Church in Huntington Station, is sending a team to Guatemala in August! Team members include: Kris Sher, Mark Mahler, Karleigh Mahler, and Pastor Sarah. Stay tuned for ways to support them through prayer and upcoming fundraisers. You can also donate to their go fund me account.
National Youth Gathering
The ELCA National Youth Gathering is scheduled for June 29-July 3, 2027. We are now accepting applications for those who might be interested in attending. Please contact one of the pastors for more information. Eligible ages: 8th – 12th grades.
Sunday School!
Sunday School has returned to its regular time of 9:00 AM. Sunday School is open to all children from pre-kindergarten through 5th grade. We can’t wait to begin a new season of learning, fun, and growing in faith together! Registration forms can be found here.
Nursery Room Available
Our nursery has resumed its regular time of 9:15 AM. The nursery is held in the green room of the preschool wing. The nursery is staffed on a rotating basis by Deserie Burns, Debbie and Rikki Cliffe, Stefanie Attanasio, and Lynn Mark. We give thanks to our volunteers for taking on this new role, providing a safe and welcoming space for our youngest children while parents participate in worship. HANAH
Huntington Action Network Against Hate. This faith based community seeks to prevent acts of hate and to respond and support those who have experienced hate incidents. Bilingual volunteers are needed for coming events, so please help if you are able. Here is the October HANAH newsletter.
