Cool off this June and support Christ Lutheran Church with our delicious Ice Cream Pint Sale! From June 14–26, order your favorite flavors for just $8.00 per pint, including Vanilla, Cookies & Cream, Mint Chip, Chocolate, Cookie Dough, and Chocoholic. Pickup will be on Tuesday, June 30 in the church fellowship hall after 2:00 p.m., just in time for the 250th Independence Day. Treat yourself while supporting the ministries and mission of Christ Lutheran Church—one pint at a time!
Northport Pride Festival
We’ll be hosting a table at the Northport Pride Festival alongside members of the Ecumenical Lay Council (ELC), and we’re looking for a few volunteers to help greet visitors and share information about our church. The event takes place in Northport Park on Saturday, June 20th, from 12:30 pm-4:30 pm. Contact the pastoral staff if you're able to offer an hour or so of your time.
Sandwich Brigade
Last Tuesday 235 sandwiches were made for Mercy Inn. Thanks to Sue Palo, Cheryl Kendrick, Diana Keen, Gloria Johnsson, Michelle Cerione, Dawn Donely, and Michelle’s husband for delivery to Mercy Inn Wednesday morning. All food items were donated as well. Next Brigade is June 30th. All are welcomed.
Metro NY Synod Summer Revival
Join us at Calvary Lutheran Church in Hauppauge on July 2nd from 5:30-8:30pm. We'll gather to worship and sing together, share a meal, and enjoy the warm weather. Think Vacation Bible School meets Summer Barbecue. This is an intergenerational event, so bring the whole family! We will have a screen-printing table, so folks can make a keepsake from the event. Please bring something (e.g. a t-shirt, tote bag, scarf, etc.) you would like to print a design onto. Use this link to register.
United in Mission Home Repair Week
United in Mission is a dedicated youth organization that provides complimentary home repair and maintenance services for senior, low-income, and disabled homeowners. During the week of July 12th, their team will be working from Centerport United Methodist Church and is actively seeking homeowners who could benefit from their assistance. United in Mission handles a wide range of projects, from constructing accessibility ramps and stairs to performing various landscaping tasks and everything in between. Please speak to Pastor Sarah and Pastor Jim if you could benefit from this service.
Pinecrest Summer Registration
The 2026 summer session will be held August 2–8. Eligible campers must be 15–26 years old by December 31 of the current year. Financial assistance, including partial and full scholarships, is available to ensure accessibility. Learn more and register at here.
L.I. Ducks Game Night
Join us for a LI Ducks baseball game on Friday, August 29, at 6:35 p.m. A fun evening of fellowship, fireworks, and baseball—come enjoy the game together! Tickets are $15 each. Deadline to register is Sunday, July 26th.
Mission Trip to Guatemala
Our congregation, in partnership with United Lutheran Church in Huntington Station, is sending a team to Guatemala in August! Team members include: Kris Sher, Mark Mahler, Karleigh Mahler, and Pastor Sarah. Stay tuned for ways to support them through prayer and upcoming fundraisers. Sunday School!
Sunday School has returned to its regular time of 9:00 AM. Sunday School is open to all children from pre-kindergarten through 5th grade. We can’t wait to begin a new season of learning, fun, and growing in faith together! Registration forms can be found here.
Nursery Room Available
Our nursery has resumed its regular time of 9:15 AM. The nursery is held in the green room of the preschool wing. The nursery is staffed on a rotating basis by Deserie Burns, Debbie and Rikki Cliffe, Stefanie Attanasio, and Lynn Mark. We give thanks to our volunteers for taking on this new role, providing a safe and welcoming space for our youngest children while parents participate in worship. Huntington Action Network Against Hate. This faith based community seeks to prevent acts of hate and to respond and support those who have experienced hate incidents. Bilingual volunteers are needed for coming events, so please help if you are able. Here is the October HANAH newsletter.
