Midweek Lenten Book Study Opportunity
Join us for a Midweek Lenten book study on The Amen Effect by Sharon Brous, a leading American rabbi and preacher exploring connection and community. We will meet Wednesdays at noon, with a possible Thursday evening session at 6:30 pm if there is enough interest. Each session ends with a brief prayer service and communion. If you are interested, please call the church office, see the pastoral staff, or sign up on the sheet in the narthex so we can order books and finalize plans. Starting Wednesday, February 25th we will meet at noon in the upstairs classroom. Cost of the book is $15 and can be picked up in the church office. We will discuss the intro and first 2 chapters.
Soles 4 Souls
… is here and runs the month of March. Please donate gently used shoes. They are refurbished but best to start with good condition. Either tie/lace them together or put elastic band around shoes securely. Place in boxes marked. These shoes go directly to people who need them.
Scout Sunday
Sunday, March 22 at the 9:15 service we celebrate Scout Sunday, giving thanks for the scouts and leaders who serve our community. Scouts, leaders, families, and friends are all welcome to join us! Our chartered troop, Troop 403, will be hosting a fun craft activity for all our young children after the 9:15 am worship service.
Women’s Communion Breakfast
… will be held Saturday, March 28th at 9:00am at Calvary Lutheran Church, 860 Townline Rd. Hauppauge. $20 per person; Service of Holy Communion and catered breakfast with guest speaker Bishop Katrina Foster. RSVP by March 25, 631-724-5313.
Palms and Pancakes
Support the mission trip team at their Palm & Pancakes fundraiser on Palm Sunday, March 29, at the St. Peter’s Campus. Pancakes and fellowship will be served from 8:00–9:30 AM and 11:00 AM–12:30 PM. Stop by for breakfast and help support the upcoming mission trip.
Easter Popup Handbell Choir
A pop-up Handbell Choir for Easter Sunday is forming. If you are interested in joining, please see Matthew, our music director. Rehearsal dates will be decided upon once a group is formed.
April C.L.A.S.S. Lunch
Our next senior luncheon will be on April 8th at 12:00pm. Please join us for some good food and fun! If there are any questions or special requests please contact Linda Muratore @ 631-365-2432.
First Communion Classes
First Communion class will be offered this spring; Tuesday evenings, May 5, 12, 19, 26 at 6:30pm with a Celebration of First Holy Communion on Sunday, May 31. Families who feel their child is ready for instruction, or who may have questions about their child’s readiness, are encouraged to contact the pastoral staff or church office if they would like to participate.

Pinecrest Summer Registration
The 2026 summer session will be held August 2–8. Eligible campers must be 15–26 years old by December 31 of the current year. Financial assistance, including partial and full scholarships, is available to ensure accessibility. Learn more and register at here.
Mission Trip to Guatemala
Our congregation, in partnership with United Lutheran Church in Huntington Station, is sending a team to Guatemala in August! Team members include: Kris Sher, Mark Mahler, Karleigh Mahler, and Pastor Sarah. Stay tuned for ways to support them through prayer and upcoming fundraisers. Sunday School!
Sunday School has returned to its regular time of 9:00 AM. Sunday School is open to all children from pre-kindergarten through 5th grade. We can’t wait to begin a new season of learning, fun, and growing in faith together! Registration forms can be found here.
Nursery Room Available
Our nursery has resumed its regular time of 9:15 AM. The nursery is held in the green room of the preschool wing. The nursery is staffed on a rotating basis by Deserie Burns, Debbie and Rikki Cliffe, Stefanie Attanasio, and Lynn Mark. We give thanks to our volunteers for taking on this new role, providing a safe and welcoming space for our youngest children while parents participate in worship. HANAH
Huntington Action Network Against Hate. This faith based community seeks to prevent acts of hate and to respond and support those who have experienced hate incidents. Bilingual volunteers are needed for coming events, so please help if you are able. Here is the October HANAH newsletter.
