Get Involved

Whether you're a kid, teen, young adult, senior or anywhere in between we think we have something for you to get involved in.

  • Our programs for kids include Sunday School, First Communion class, Confirmation class, and Vacation Bible School as well as our Little Lights Christian Preschool. Click here for a complete list.

  • High school can be awful and amazing in the same week, or even the same day. Friendships, feelings, and faith all seem to change right before our eyes but at our 9th-12th grade Luther League youth group teenagers can find receive true acceptance, make a difference, and build friendships beyond the drama of high school. Service projects, fundraising, lock-ins, and other fun events all culminate in an annual summer trip. Contact the church office for more information.

  • C.L.A.S.S is our Christ Lutheran Adult Senior Social. The purpose is to give back to the seniors who have given so much throughout their life time. Our goal is to provide a fellowship meal with fun and conversation for any who are interested in joining. We encourage our guests to bring a friend at any time and welcome all new people who would like to attend. We play trivia games and invite speakers for presentations on topics of interest to our Seniors. Mostly it's CLC's way of saying THANK YOU and celebrating life with our seniors.

  • The Young Adult Group is for young adults (20-35) who want to develop meaningful friendships and grow spiritually. Get connected with others through serving, social events, and community building. All are welcome to attend! For more information on dates and times, email Pastoral Associate Sarah or contact the church office.

  • Music is an essential part of worship at CLC. We have many opportunities for musicians and singers to participate. Please contact the CLC Music Director if you are interested in joining any of the groups.

  • Altar Guild is a group at Christ Lutheran Church that prepares the Altar and Sanctuary for services and Holy Communion. We also help prepare for weddings and funerals. We work on teams that rotate Sundays through the year. Presently each team serves approximately once every three months. Women, men and Confirmation students of members of Altar Guild serve. We are always looking for new members as many hands make light work. This is an opportunity to serve and experience fellowship.

  • The Visiting Shepherds offer a break in the daily routine for those who are confined to their homes or are in the hospital or other care facilities. The visits are meant to provide a hand to hold, an ear to listen or an opportunity to just sit in companionable silence. The visits are scheduled according to individual needs. If you would like a visit please call the church office at 631-499-4655.

  • “Are any of you suffering hardship? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such prayers offered in faith will heal the sick and the Lord will make you well.” James 5:13-15a

The power of prayer; we here at Christ Lutheran Church believe in the power of prayer. It is an important ministry that is offered to the congregation and the community. There is a prayer team that meets on a regular basis to remember people in prayer and to lift them into the Lord’s mercy. After the meeting each individual on the team prays daily for all the concerns that have been raised. The team also prays for those going through grief or loss. This ministry is confidential. If you want a name to be raised in prayer or want to see what’s involved in becoming a member of the team please call the church office.

  • Our Tuesday Crew volunteers meet every Tuesday morning to handle minor repairs, repainting and similar types of work.

  • Our bulletin folders meet every Friday morning to collate and fold copies of bulletins containing the liturgy for all our Sunday worship services.

  • Grief Ministry provides counseling and comfort to those who have recently lost loved ones. If you can write a greeting card and pray then you have the skills and gifts needed to help with this important ministry. Please consider adopting three families in their first year of grieving.

  • The Church Council is the governing body of Christ Lutheran Church. It is made up of 17 members, each with a specific area of responsibility, plus the pastor.
